According to Ayurveda everybody’s soul is kind, free of pathogenicity, mindful and takes care of oneself and its surroundings. Influences from outside, wrong behavioural patterns and mindsets may cloud the mind, and consequently physical and psychological illnesses can occur. In Ayurveda, everyone is their own and best doctor, because deep inside everybody knows what’s best for them. The Ayurveda expert is acting as an assistant and supports through constitutional diet, yoga and massages to find balance and clean up the soul.
Constitution checkEvery human being was born with an individual constitution or Deha-Prakriti. The five elements ether, air, fire, water and earth are grouped into three basic types of energy, the so-called Doshas. In Sanskrit the terms Vata, Pitta & Kapha are used. If you remain in this inner balance of the Doshas, you will not notice any symptoms of illness and you will lead a life which corresponds to your constitution. If you feel a certain dysbalance, one or even 2 Doshas have changed/aggregated and no longer correspond to the basic constitution. This imbalance affects the body tissues over time and can lead to diseases. If you are aware of your constitution, this is very helpful for self-reflection and your inner balance can be restored much faster. The balancing of the Doshas can therefore be regarded as disease prophylaxis.

Ayurvedic nutritional plan & analysis
Ayurveda means translated from Sanskrit the knowledge of long life. It is the oldest medical system worldwide with Indian roots. This knowledge is based on experience and has been tested and applied over thousands of years by the wise Rishis. In Ayurveda all matter is based on the 5 elements. Earth, water, fire, air and ether. By approaching the basic values of nature, the path to cure is given. In Ayurveda, health is based on the 3 areas body, mind and soul. All factors play an important role and before the treatment all areas are analysed to create a holistic therapy concept. The procedure is individual and cause-oriented.
You can get out of your inner balance through various internal or external influences. Nutrition, manual therapy, phytotherapy, lifestyle consultation as well as psychological consultation are the tools to have a prophylactic effect or to heal the patient in case of already manifested illness. Ayurveda is suitable as an individual therapy and is successful in combination with conventional medical treatment. The treatment focuses on the person and not on the illness.

I made some detours and with the help of some serendipities I came across Ayurveda. The method of individual constitutions gave me a lot of answers. I’m fascinated with the dimension of this science and the holistic health and individual therapies. I signed up for the course in Ayurveda medicine at HPS (eidg. diploma).

I first got in touch with Ayurveda about seven years ago. My aunt inspired me with her stories about this ancient wisdom. A retreat in Sri Lanka, many books and the first herbal course later, I knew I had to get deeper into Ayurveda science. Wirth a great hunger for knowledge, enthusiasm for cooking and thirst for experience I signed up for the course in complementary Ayurveda therapy at HPS (eidg. diploma).
